Terra Masia – Tuning To Nature's Rhythm

The desire of reconnecting with nature as well as the rewarding state of living in harmony with what is provided by the fruitful soil of the local land define the vision of Ibiza’s largest ecological farm. Take a day to find grounding while you walk over flowering fields, discover the purity of nature’s cycles and tune your breath to the rhythm of the earth at Terra Masia.

Following the picturesque roads into the midlands, seamed by lush meadows and vast fields, already gives an impression of the rich biodiverse variety that awaits at Terra Masia. Situated close to the town of Santa Eulalia, this former finca has grown into a venue that is treasured for its peaceful tranquility, its community culture and its bountiful harvest of fresh organic fruit and vegetables. Pursuing the idea of re-synchronizing our life with the intuitive rhythm of the environment, Marina Morán Jou, agriculturist at Terra Masia, accentuates: „Humans need nature and therefore, we need to learn again and remember to live in harmony with the land.“ A team of agriculturists and environmentalists with knowledge coming from long traditions cultivates the farm’s terrain and their loving providence radiates across the land. As we rarely get to see where our food actually originates from, strolling the path that is ranked with patches accommodating greens like lettuce, beets and cauliflowers turns out to be both an educative and meditative experience. Wide groves of orange and lemon trees frame the farm, radiate vitalizing scents and create a natural appreciation for the colorful sphere and the organically grown local vegetables. Seasonal boxes of fresh greens are available on the farm’s in-house market.

The property has been carefully restored by hand over the past two years. With the same dedication, the farmers and gardeners at Terra Masia are open to help their guests to experience how living in perfect harmony with the surrounding nature feels like. Imagining the process of seeding, nurturing, and ultimately sharing all harvested goods at one of their communal tables, it is hard not to sense the comfort and familiarity of this slow and easy Mediterranean way of living. Terra Maria is open for visits Monday – Friday, 8am - 5pm and Saturday, 9am - 12am.
